Our quiz night was a resounding success for our first event!

Quiz Night for Foundation

I would like to kick this blog off by saying a HUGE thank you to everyone who attended and supported our quiz night! It was a complete success, and a fantastic turnout (absolutely packed, no wonder they had to turn the heating off!) – we really hope you all enjoyed yourselves.

Thank you so much to Aldridge Social Club for generously donating their function room, and to our fabulous quiz master, Nige – he certainly brought the glitz and glam to the event, sporting his wonderful sparkly jacket, and he delivered a very entertaining and amusing quiz for everyone. So, massive thanks to Russell Smith, Duson Popratnjak , Nige and his team for making it so enjoyable for us all!

We had some fantastic prizes donated for ‘open the box’ and the raffle, including a huge cash donation from Chris Foster and Daughter, R.H.N Riley and Gatemasters! Thank you to everyone who generously donated. Down to you all, and your continued generosity, we are so pleased to announce that we raised over £3000! As a result of this, we are now in the process of becoming a registered charity.

I would also just like to say a few words from myself, as James’ sister, and I speak on behalf of my mum and dad, and the rest of my family as well. Every day is unbearably difficult without James, but knowing that we have ALL of you standing right beside us, supporting us, really does take a slight weight off our shoulders. It is so heart-warming and extremely comforting to know how loved and respected James was and still is. That to me, makes me so proud of the person James had become, and it motivates me even more to continue to do good in his name.

Finally, congratulations to the winning team! However, you all did extraordinarily well, we hope to see you all at the next event – well done! If you didn’t manage to get a ticket this time around, there will be another quiz very soon, as well as other exciting events throughout the year – so watch this space!

END.
